Kickapoo Tribal Police Department Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas The Mission of every member of the Kickapoo Tribal Police Department is to enhance the quality of life on the Kickapoo Reservation by working cooperatively with the residents and within the framework of the Kickapoo Tribal Constitution and the United States Constitution and to enforce the laws, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide for a safe environment and satisfied residents. Department Responsiblity The Kickapoo Tribal Police Department acts as an official representative of the Tribal Government who is required and trusted to work within the law. The officer’s powers and duties are conferred by Federal Statute. The fundamental duties of a police officer include serving the community; safeguarding lives and property; protecting the innocent; keeping the peace; and ensuring the rights of all to liberty, equality and justice.
